Customer's request:
Control system for the use of showers on public beaches, with the aim of obtaining savings in water consumption.
Provided solution:
IP-68 electronics integrated in the shower that allows restricted use to users who have a proximity card. The card has a time limit. The electronics indicate by means of LEDs, the time limit remaining. The user can perform the time recharge when the limit has been exhausted.
The first units were installed on the “Sant Sebastià” beach in Sitges, in the province of Barcelona. More than 80% water savings were achieved and great user acceptance.
The system was dismantled shortly after due to a legal dispute between parties of the council itself.
